Moon rituals are intentional practices aligned with the lunar cycle. The current phase is First Quarter — each of the 8 phases has a dedicated ritual, from New Moon intention setting to Full Moon release ceremonies, Third Quarter forgiveness practice, and Waning Crescent rest.
These practices combine breathwork, journaling, and meditation timed to the Moon's energy. No special equipment is needed — just a quiet space and a journal. Each ritual takes 10–20 minutes.
Rituals & Practices
Each phase of the moon invites a different kind of practice. These rituals are meant to be adapted — take what resonates, leave what doesn't.
Obstacle Clearing
Half-lit, half-shadow
Identify what's blocking your progress. Write it down. Then write what you'd do if the obstacle didn't exist. Often the obstacle is smaller than it seems.
Rest & Reflect
The dark phases — surrender, dream, and prepare.
New Moon
✦ Intention Setting
Light a single candle in a dark room. Write your intentions for this cycle on paper. Fold it and place it somewhere you'll see daily. The new moon asks: what are you ready to begin?
Waning Crescent
✦ Deep Rest
Cancel something. Take a bath. Go to bed early. Read something that has nothing to do with productivity. The waning crescent is permission to stop.
Plant & Build
Rising energy — take action, push forward, create.
Waxing Crescent
✦ First Action
Choose one intention from the new moon and take a single concrete action toward it today. Even the smallest step counts. Water the seed.
First Quarter
NOW✦ Obstacle Clearing
Identify what's blocking your progress. Write it down. Then write what you'd do if the obstacle didn't exist. Often the obstacle is smaller than it seems.
Bloom & Illuminate
Peak energy — celebrate, share, and be seen.
Waxing Gibbous
✦ Refinement
Review your work so far. What needs adjusting? What can you let go of? Polish what exists rather than adding more. Trust that you've done enough.
Full Moon
✦ Celebration & Release
Gather with others or sit alone under the moon. Acknowledge what you've built this cycle. Then write down what you're ready to release — and burn the paper. Let the smoke carry it.
Harvest & Release
Gathering and letting go — collect, forgive, rest.
Waning Gibbous
✦ Gratitude & Sharing
Write three things you're grateful for from this cycle. Share something you've learned with someone who needs it. Generosity amplifies abundance.
Third Quarter
✦ Forgiveness Practice
Sit quietly and bring to mind something you've been holding onto — resentment, guilt, a grudge. Say aloud: 'I release this. It no longer serves me.' Repeat until you feel the weight shift.
